Slow your roll & get your dirt on!

February Slow Ride & Farm LA Garden Tour

In January 2018, the Slow Ride gathered in Gateway Park to celebrate the newly announced Farm LA Garden in Elysian Valley, the plot gifted by longtime resident Bob Berg. This February, we will ride from Riverfront Park, loop south, then ride north to the Farm LA Garden plot (Rosanna Street & Ripple Place) for a talk and tour with founders Emily Gleicher & Jason Wood. Come see how much they and their dedicated team of volunteers have accomplished in just one year.

Dress for dirt as you may be inspired to volunteer yourself! We will carry some homemade treats, fresh fruit and a thermos of coffee, so bring your own reusable cup, an appetite and ride or walk with us for this enriching outing.

The Slow Ride aims to bring people together – young, old, walkers, riders, residents and visitors – for the health of our neighborhoods. By simply traveling at a safe, sane pace we show by our actions that the LA River Greenway shared path is meant for all users, not merely the cyclists who too often tear through at top speeds. We are a family-friendly gathering, and all are welcome! Please RSVP here so we know how much coffee to make!

Save the date for Saturday, March 9th when Audubon at Deb’s Park will lead us on a birdwatching route along the Los Angeles River, from Steelhead Park to Spoke Café!
